Aude Busson, originally from France, has been living in Iceland since 2005 and working as a performance maker and project manager. She graduated from the “Performance making” program at the Icelandic Arts Academy in 2011. Since then she has worked for her own projects as well as in collaboration with other artists, sometimes in the theatre and sometimes out in public spaces. Her interest lies in the encounters between performance and our social reality and in spaces and events involving some degree of participation. Aude has worked with making performance works for youth and with youth, children and teenagers as well as women of foreign origin in Iceland. She has worked as a project manager on various projects addressing dance accessibility, managing the Teenagers Festival of Reykjavík Dance Festival and developing free dance classes for different communities through the dance association “Dansgarðurinn”. She has an interest in festival curation and management and is a board member of ASSITEJ Iceland and has worked on several editions of the Assitej Festival UNGI.
