Family promenade-performance



I ♥ Reykjavík, by Aude Busson, Sólveig Gumundsdóttir and Snæbjörn Brynjarsson is a participative promenade performance for children from 7 years old and adults. The piece is about exploring together, in body as in words, the boundaries, secret paths and local specificities of a city. The project aims at showing neighborhoods and city centers in a new light based on the sensitive point of view of children.

We play games, tell stories, run into local people and run away from them as well. We create a space for adults and children to experience their city in a secure but unusual way: sensing, playing and moving through public and private spaces.

I ♥ Reykjavík premiered in August 2014, was coproduced by the International Theatre Festival Lókal and supported by the Icelandic Ministry of Culture and Education. This performance was nominated for the icelandic Theatre Awards for “Best performance for young audience 2015”.
