A Girl and Raven’s Journey Through Inner Nights
Hafrún is a determined girl with big curly hair. She loves dreams, reading upside down, and watching the moon at night. But tonight Hafrún can't sleep. She sits by the window, looking out to the moon and misses her grandmother who has just left this world. Suddenly a white raven comes flying into the room. Hafrún names him Íó and together they go off on a great adventure.
Íó is a poetic story about the process of grieving, a visual portrayal of the inner journey of a child. During their travels the girl and the raven take on great powers we have within that are as invaluable to us as the moon that lights up the night. This is a story of bravery, friendship, loss and the search of balance between light and darkness.
