Í sýningunni er samband barna og fullorðinna skoðað og spurningunni um hlutverk þeirra á jörðinni velt upp. ,,Þegar maður hugsar út í það, þá er maður bara til af því að maður er til... Eða til, til að gefa dýrunum? Til… til að fjölga ormunum? Eða erum við til fyrir heiminn? ... En aftur á móti, þá endist jörðin ekki að eilífu, þannig að ef maður hugsar úti það, þá getur maður ekki bara haldið áfram að fæðast, fæðast og fæðast...” Af hverju er maðurinn til? Af hverju er barn til? Hvað gera þau og til hvers? Sýningin er á mörkum þess að vera leikverk, innsetning og listasmiðja. Í hljóðmyndinni fléttast samræður barnanna við nýja tónlist eftir Borko. Í rýminu er manndýr að tengja saman þræði úr aldalangri sögu sinni á ný. Í Manndýr er gestum boðið inn í heim þar sem hægt er að upplifa með eyrum, augum og höndum, sjálf eða í samvinnu. The piece is about exploring together, in body as in words, the boundaries, secret paths and local specificities of a city. The project aims at showing neighborhoods and city centers in a new light based on the sensitive point of view of children. We play games, tell stories, run into local people and run away from them as well. We create a space for adults and children to experience their city in a secure but unusual way: sensing, playing and moving through public and private spaces. I ♥ Reykjavík premiered in August 2014, was coproduced by the International Theatre Festival Lókal and supported by the Icelandic Ministry of Culture and Education. Aude facilitated for them a few theatre workshops alone or with Helga Arnalds. In 2016 and 2018 Aude performed a promenade performance commissioned by the group, focusing on women in the city and their history. The promenade ended in the Icelandic parliament in 2017 and in the City’s council meeting room in 2018 where the first elected women of foreign origin in both of those institutions, invited the group and talked about her experience. She loves dreams, reading upside down, and watching the moon at night. But tonight Hafrún can't sleep. She sits by the window, looking out to the moon and misses her grandmother who has just left this world. Suddenly a white raven comes flying into the room. Hafrún names him Íó and together they go off on a great adventure. Íó is a poetic story about the process of grieving, a visual portrayal of the inner journey of a child. During their travels the girl and the raven take on great powers we have within that are as invaluable to us as the moon that lights up the night. This is a story of bravery, friendship, loss and the search of balance between light and darkness. An open call for participation was made at the beginning of the project to all citizens in the town. The artists Aude Busson and Vala Höskuldsdóttir then guided a group of about 10 women of foreign origin, living in Akureyri, for around seven months. Taking to the stage to dance, make music and spend some time together talking – these children are met by a world of melancholy, pessimism, romance and confusion that they inherited but never asked for. On the borderline between deep despair and an extreme optimism – these children are set loose on the stage in search of an ambitious ethics, a profound inner peace and a glimpse into a better future. A theatre machine is any creative space with rules that use humans to perform some activity. Map of the world theatre devices can be paper, pens, memories, stories or anything that helps humans to manifest&nbsp; map of the world. Everything the humans in the machine remember or conjure up about the world. The task of the machine is to manifest a map of the world, document and share. Map of the world explores the question “ How do we talk about our world” The idea is to manifest a more honest, maybe less accurate that Google Earth, view of the world. An analog map that will be unique to each theatre machine. To discuss where true borders lie between nations, what we have in common and how as humans view the world around us. But also conjure up questions we seldom or maybe never address. How do you explain what kind of a country Russia is on a map? Amongst them Aude developed a dance education program for school pupils that will this year have been reached about 1500 students.
